Fanarah Development, LLC is led by Dr. Ayman Kandeel, who is also the Founder and Chairman. He is widely recognized as a brilliant economist and serial entrepreneur.
Dr. Ayman Kandeel orchestrated and oversaw the $680 million sales of AK for Real Estate Marketing and Development (AKREM) to Inertia Developments in November 2018 while serving as the founder and CEO of Borak Capital Holding, a Cairo-based boutique investment bank. Most of AKREM's investors had a return of over 300 percent as a result of this deal.
Fanarah Developments, LLC launched the concept of Fanarah Coast in 2015, under the direction of Dr. Kandeel, which was the first attempt to create an integrated destination along Egypt's Mediterranean seafront. The project was renamed Jefaira in 2016, and it is now the largest Mediterranean-front project of its sort on the Mediterranean Sea's whole coast.
Dr. Kandeel developed and co-managed a number of financial firms between 1999 and 2009, including Borak Capital Holding, Arab African International Securities, and Pi Capital, Inc. He has helped companies in the technology, real estate, entertainment, and finance sectors raise considerable funds.
Dr. Kandeel launched AK Comics in 2001, which has over forty titles in English, Arabic, Greek, and Chinese. AK Comics produced a Muslim, a Jewish, and a Christian superhero/superheroine in order to imagine the harmonious Middle East in the future. The universe of the three heroes focuses on the premise of defending an imagined alternative Middle East against plots aimed at sabotaging a projected future state of peace. He has appeared on a variety of media venues, including the BBC, NPR, CNN, Al Jazeera, NBC, and John Stewart's The Daily Show, to name a few, and as a result of his efforts, he has met a number of well-known politicians, many of whom remain in his inner circle.
Dr. Kandeel is enthusiastic about advertising. Bonus Advertising, which was acquired by JWT in 1995, was initially confounded. JWT Cairo is now Egypt's most well-known advertising firm. He's also a big shareholder in Advision, one of Egypt's most well-known below-the-line advertising firms.
Dr. Kandeel has a successful academic career that includes a Ph.D. in emerging financial markets from USC, MA degrees in economics from the American University in Cairo and the University of Southern California, as well as an MA from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Between 2003 to 2009, he was a lecturer at Cairo University. He also taught at Cal State Long Beach and the University of Southern California. Dr. Kandeel announced his retirement from academia in April 2011 in order to devote more time to his companies in the United States and Egypt.
Dr. Kandeel now serves on the boards of Arab African International Securities, Space SaMo, Pacific Agencies and Contractors Corporation, Al Forsan Holding, and Borak Capital Holding.
